#84: Not Too Late to Participate in #GivingTuesdayNow

fundraising marketing strategy podcast Apr 29, 2020

#GivingTuesdayNow is right around the corner and your nonprofit should be there. This day of global giving and unity is the financial and feel-good event we have all been needing during the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s got big backers (Bill & Melinda Gates, PayPal, and Ford among many others) and lots of media coverage (NBC is a big sponsor) so you know awareness is going to be high. And it’s very different from the traditional #GivingTuesday right after Thanksgiving that everyone plans for months and months. This is far more on-the-fly, so not having weeks to plan isn’t an excuse.

And the great news is it’s not too late. This podcast covers why you need to be there and the simple steps it will take (leveraging content you already have) to be a part of the big day.

Start here: https://www.givingtuesday.org/organizations

Plus I have some resources for you that will help as you put together your messaging for the day and ensure that the folks who visit your donation page are sure to become donors.
